UNDERCITY requires participants to abide by the following requirements to play:

Participants MUST be 21+ and provide valid ID at the door. (P.S. Don't take any drinks outside!)

Do not bring large bags- no place to store them. All bags are subject to possible inspection by the venue for weapons/liquor/dangerous items. The venue requires clear bags if larger than a small purse/fanny pack.

Participants MUST arrive to the venue and check-in before or by 6:35 PM.
Doors open at 6PM. Late entry not permitted, so please plan accordingly for potential delays or parking time!

Participants MUST participate in short workshop at 6:40PM. 
This will cover basic safety, consent, game mechanics, and what groups they will be roleplaying most with.  You must agree to these safety rules to participate. Game begins immediately after.

Arrival before 6:35PM also allows for taking pictures with our amazing cosplayers, help with your character sheet, and meeting your facilitators! There is a local brewery next-door if you'd like to wait there a bit as well.

LARP stands for live-action roleplay. If you ever played pretend as a kid, you have probably tried it! As adults though it is broadly interacting with your environment as a character, typically in a costume. and using your irl body to play out the game.

Imagine it like improv, but in this case, you’re immersed in the arcane themed environment of a zaun night club. And since everyone is following the convention of being in a cool undercity night club surrounded by badass main characters… you Are one!

There is no one right way to “win” at larp- just have fun, support your faction, and follow basic rules. We’re all trying our best and making it up on the spot!

We send them out in batches, so there is naturally some delay. Fill it out at least 7 days before your game, so we can custom cast your character!

This is a dream of supporting local immersive theater and live-action roleplay in Tacoma a sustainable reality! For now, the price firmly remains at $30, to keep games more accessible.

No AI, no shortcuts, only a labor of artist love. I am purposefully trying to make this a space where people can have fun and help build a community, with creative play and value for your time. Especially if we can keep selling out games (a girl can dream), I can keep channeling my inner Costco HotDog CEO and keep the tickets inexpensive so more people can attend.

It was a rocking name for our first event, but after some googling, and another immersive company has been using immersivexp [no s used]. We don’t want to step on any toes, so act out immersives was born! We’re stepping away from any old branding gradually.

That and you can use the accronym aoi and pronounce it “ayyyyoooo immersives” which I think is funny.
